If you are going to watch one main event this weekend I would have to say watch this Semi-Final in the WBSS as we have two fighters with a Similar Height, Similar Reach, Similar Age, Similar Style, Similar KO Ratio, and one man has only managed to beat them both, now that man was Oleksandr Usyk and they were close enough fights, but this means means both fighters are off a very good standard and with all these similarities it should in theory make for a good and interesting fight.
Both fighters love to come forward and let their hands go and for me that’s the type of fighters I really like, yes I can always appreciate the sweet science fighters but sometimes you just want to see a good tear up and honestly, I think that is what we will get with these two fighters.
These two fighters will give us that, and yes they will probably tire in the later rounds but these guys are enjoyable to watch.
Looking at their stats and records it is easy to see why this is a 50/50 fight and hopefully it will be a fight that gets people talking about the World Boxing Super Series again as honestly it has appeared to get a bit flat after all the initial hype has waned.
If I have to pick one winner I think I will go with Briedis as I just think his experience will edge this one but I think it will go the distance and I think it will be a great fight and what more can we ask for?
The undercard has one fight which is standing out as it could be a banger, Yuniel Dorticos (23-1-0) has his second fight since losing to Murat Gassiev in the World Boxing Super Series semi-final and he takes on up and coming American Andrew Tabiti (17-0-0), the cuban is looking to make a statement with this fight and the American is looking to show the rest of the division he is the real deal so I am expecting fireworks.
