The UFC 244 card was a decent enough card but everyone who went to the arena and who tuned in to the card were waiting on the main event and I would like to say it lived up to the hype but unfortunately the fight was cut short just as it was starting to get interesting. As the first bell rang Masvidal done exactly what he done in his last fight and what everyone expected him to do, he came rushing out to meet Diaz, but like everyone Diaz expected it and made the necessary adjustments to move out of the way, but it seems like Masvidal was joking with everyone as he started to laugh about what he just done.

Masvidal controlled the first round putting Diaz under pressure and when clenched with Diaz he catches him with two elbows and Diaz starts bleeding instantly, at the end of the round we get a close up of Diaz,s eye and it doesn’t look good at all and I had a feeling it could be troublesome as the rounds went on. Masvidal was having the better success as the rounds went on but Diaz was still showing he was in the fight with bursts of punches connecting, and both fighters trying submission holds but nothing was sticking then when the third round ended the doctor came in to check on Diaz eye and as soon as he seen the eye he spoke to the referee and waved off the fight.

The fans were noticeably upset but no more than Diaz himself, who is known for his tough endurance appeared to say to the ref that he felt he could fight on. Masvidal was announced as the winner when they went to the scorecards  but said straight away he wants a rematch and to run it again so hopefully Dana White does exactly that.
