Tevin Farmer inflicted the first defeat on Jono Carroll in an interesting fight in his hometown of Philadelphia as he put on a slick and quality display with his calculated punches movement the difference in this contest. Farmer is really starting to show he is a deserved champion and he is making up for lost time as this was his third defence in six months.
Carroll knew he had to drag Farmer into the trenches for a war fought on the inside but Farmer was still able to control the fight with pinpoint accurate punches, carroll did have some success but the Philly native was soaking them up and coming back with his own barrage of punches mixed in with his classy timing, footwork, speed and movement.

Carroll fought hard and never took a backward step the whole fight but unfortunately for him Farmer was just a better more accurate fighter on the night, but this loss should not put Carroll off about fighting for another title again in the future as I believe there is something special with him and I hope one day it gets to feel what it is like to hold a World Title above his head.
After twelve good rounds of boxing the judges scored the fight widley in favour of Farmer, but I felt Carroll won a couple more rounds than they said but it is what it is and i am sure Carroll learnt a great deal from the whole experience.
Sylvain Leblanc 117 – 111
Dave Braslow 117 – 111
John Poturaj 117 – 110
The much talked about Farmer V Davis WBA / IBF unification fight appears to be the only option but I am sure Farmer will be looking at the other champions like WBC Miguel Berchelt and WBO Masayuki Ito as he has the confidence to believe he is the best fighter in the division.
