This Sunday morning (Australia time) WBO number one contender, Australian Rohan Murdock (24-1), will face off against number two contender, Zac Parker (18-0) of the United Kingdom. Both fighters will be competed for the vacant WBO Super-Middleweight Inter-Continental Title, with the right to challenge current WBO Super-Middleweight World champ, Billy Joe Saunders.

Murdock is coming off a long layoff out of the ring, not fighting since December of 2018, an unanimous decision victory over Rolando Mansilla, while Parker is coming off a TKO victory over Steven Crambert in May last year. So ring rust maybe a factor for both fighters.

Murdock hasn’t lost a fight since 2011, Parker is undefeated in his professional career. This leaves more on the table and motivation for both fighters to gain victory and  a shot at Saunders.

Saunders is coming off his first successful defence of his title in November of last year, and the winner could be facing Saunders for the world title in possibly the second half of the year.

The fight will feature on the Scott Quigg v Jono Carroll card and will be broadcast on Foxtel’s Mainevent Boxing channel free from 6am, Sunday AESDT.
