Ten time World Muay Thai champion, John Wayne Parr, wants to leave his legacy before retirement with his final bout with three time World boxing champion Anthony Mundine and this week Parr announced that his November  30 bout with Mundine is to be held at the CBus Super Stadium on the Gold Coast will be his last bout. Looking back on parrs career this will be his 160 Professional Combat Fight over Boxing and Kickboxing.

Parr has released a promotion video on Facebook in relation to his bout.
“I want to be remembered, I want a legacy. The only way to do that is to put on the most brutal performance ever”. Parr said.
”I’m very fortunate to be well known in the Muay Thai World, but back in Australia only the hardcore fans know who I am and what I have done in my career. Boxing is a whole other beast”.
”I’m so motivated for the fight, I’m fighting Anthony Mundine”.

Mundine is single handedly responsible for bringing live back into the limelight at the beginning of the new century. With the exception of Kostya Tszyu at the time, boxing was pretty much dead in Australia and with Tszyu fighting mostly overseas, Australian boxing was on life support. Mundine brought in back to live making many careers on the way.

Mundine is responsible for making several boxer’s careers mainstream, such as Sam Soliman, Daniel Geale, Tommy Browne, Jeff Horn and his biggest rival Danny Green. Along with this helping several NRL players switch to boxing such as John Hopoate, Sonny Bill Williams and Paul Gallen.

Now Parr wants to chance to milk the Mundine goat.
“ I’m searching for gold and Mundine is my lotto ticket”.  Parr said.

Parr has stated that he wants to be entertaining in the bout and look for the knockout and cement his legacy as a professional fighter.
“ I want it to be special, I’m looking for the knockout”.

Mundine is looking to get back into the winners circle after losing 96 second ko loss to Jeff Horn.
