Coming into this fight Hekkie has had to step up a weight division, after being a world champion at minimum weight previously holding the IBO and WBA world titles at the same time. So he is a proven champion and now wants to seek a new challenge in a new weight division. Melindo is also a proven champion at this weight holding the WBO, WBA world titles at the same time as well as currently holding the IBF World title.
With both fighters losing 2 fights each and with both being a similar height and reach, both fighters are not known for their knock out rates ranging between 30-34%. To me this fight is almost a 50-50 and could go either way. I do expect this to go to the score cards. If anything I believe Melindo has a slight advantage with being more used to fighting at this weight. But other than that it could go either way.
