DIONICIUS REMAINS UNDEFEATED IBF WORLD FEMALE SUPER FLYWEIGHT CHAMPION

ANOTHER WEEKEND OF WOMEN’S BOXING SEES THREE WORLD TITLES SUCCESSFULLY DEFENDED.

 

On a night that sees Terence Crawford crowned the first undisputed champion since 2005 in men’s boxing, (see related article here) the ladies were hard at work defending boxing world titles of their own, with Debora Anahi Dionicius 25(5)-0-0 successfully defending her IBF World female super flyweight title for a ninth time, against Diana Laura Fernandez 16(3)-1-0. Not only did Fernandez lose the fight, but she also lost her undefeated record in Buenos Aires, Argentina on August 19th 2017 by unanimous decision.

On August 18th 2017 across Argentina in Santa Fe, Victoria Noelia Bustos 18-4-0 defeats Maria Soledad Capriolo 7-7(1)-4 by unanimous decision in her fifth defence of her IBF World female lightweight title.

In Trujillo, Peru on August 19th 2017, Linda Laura Lecca 13(3)-2(1)-2 defended her WBA World female super flyweight title against Karina Fernandez 10(3)-3-1 winning by unanimous decision.
