Yesica Bopp successfully defended her WBA World female light flyweight title for a fifth time in Argentina. Bopp disposed of Rengifo in the seventh round by TKO. Bopp’s ability and experience where too much for Rengifo to deal with in the end.
In El Salvador Liliana Palmera exacted her revenge on Alys Sanchez to regain her WBA World female super bantamweight title. Palmera won by unanimous decision.
In South Korea Hyun Mi Choi successfully defended her WBA World female super feather weight title against Jessica Gonzalez winning by TD in the sixth round.
With the interim WBC World female light flyweight title on the line in Sonora, Mexico, had a lot to fight for. Enriquez started the better, out boxing Plata, who from the midpoint turn things around fighting on the inside, but with the fight reaching its climax towards the later rounds Enriquez turned the fight back in her favour with a knock down to Plata. Enriquez won the fight by unanimous decision.
