Argentinian super lightweight Anahi Esther Sanchez now 19(11)-3(1)-0 took on Columbian Diana Ayala now 20(14)-14(5)-4 for the vacant WBA world female super lightweight title and won via TKO having put Ayala down twice in the first round. Sanchez came into this fight high on confidence as she won by TKO in her last fight which lasted five rounds. Ayala came into this fight with what I can only be described as a record for the most world title defeats. The number of times she has been defeated going for a world title is now 10 times. Some people go their whole careers never getting a title fight while this woman has a neck for losing them. This amazing stat is adding fuel to the fire that there are too many champions in female boxing and not enough quality fighters.

Brazilian Rose Volante now 13(7)-0-0 successfully defended her WBO world female lightweight title against the previously undefeated Lourdes Borbua now 8(4)-1(1)-0. After failing to make weight this was no longer a title fight for Borbua who was put down in the fourth and five rounds before her team threw the towel in the sixth. Volante came into this fight on the back of a mixed decision, while Borbua came into this bout on the back of an unanimous decision after eight rounds which seen her pick up the interim WBC Latino female lightweight title.

Over in Poland on mainland Europe local lady Ewa Brodnicka now 15(2)-0-0 successfully defended her WBO world female super feather weight title and her unbeaten record against Canadian Sarah Pucek now 8(1)-3-1. Brodnicka took the win via Unanimous decision.

Heading north from Poland to Sweden where Mikaela Lauren now 30(13)-5(2)-0 defeated Verena Kaiser now 10(5)-1-0 via mixed decision to take home the previously vacant IBO world female super welterweight title.
